What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies (e.g. browser memory/local storage) can be used for the same purposes. In this policy we use the word "cookie" to refer to all of these technologies.
Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary / session cookies: Required to keep your session open and ensure security. When you log in, an httpOnly cookie (session/refresh token) used to refresh your session is placed in your browser; this cookie cannot be accessed by JavaScript and is sent only to the authentication endpoints. Login and session continuity do not work without these cookies; they therefore do not require consent.
- Functional browser memory: Your access token is kept not in a persistent cookie but only in browser memory while the tab is open; it is lost when you close the tab.
- Advertising / marketing / profiling cookies: We do not use them. We do not place third-party ad-network cookies, social-media trackers or behavioral profiling cookies.
- Analytics cookies: There are currently no third-party analytics cookies in our product for advertising or visitor profiling.
Error monitoring (Sentry)
To ensure the stability of the service we use the client-side error monitoring tool Sentry. Sentry runs only when configured (when a DSN is defined) and collects technical error/performance data; it is not used for advertising. Managing cookies
From your browser settings you can view, delete and block new cookies. However, if you block the strictly necessary session cookies you may be unable to log in or your session may end quickly — these cookies are required for the service to work. Deleting cookies may sign you out of your account.
Changes
If we add a new technology such as analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where necessary, provide a consent mechanism. The current version is always published on this page with the "Last updated" date at the top.
